Dave Zender

Organizational Effectiveness Consultant with CEO Resources, Inc.

Zender has twenty years of experience in business process improvement, change management, human resource development, professional development of marketing and sales personnel, and information technology strategy implementation. Zender has held line management responsibilities in sales, human resources, strategic planning, project management, knowledge management, information technology, and business process advancement.

 

Still a member of CEO Resources’ cadre of consultants, he is currently the Director of HR, IT, and Administration for L-3 Communications – Nova Engineering, leading the organizational initiative, changing from a small company to an integrated unit of a publicly traded, large defense contractor.

 

Zender has led first line, mid-level and senior management organizational development efforts.  These initiatives have included the custom design and implementation of synergistic change experiences that combined performance management, project management, training, and creation of quality processes to enhance bottom line performance.

 

Notable Achievements:

· M.Ed., School Management and BS Education, Miami University, Oxford

· Led design/implementation of world class selection processes for new hires and promotions.

· Designed and implemented performance management and professional development processes for numerous companies’ employees.

· Led design/implementation of HR infrastructure supporting the president's TQM initiatives.

· Designed infrastructure processes supporting the development of worldwide sales management and personnel.  Mentored sales management in effective use of infrastructure.

· Managed organizational effectiveness activities required to change from direct to indirect distribution in the firm's fastest growing market. Within five years, company revenues grew from $4 M to $70M.  The number of sales personnel was halved.

· Managed the Information Technology department as it transitioned from the mainframe to a client server environment ensuring the seamless flow of data and information globally.

· Managed process change designed to enable the firm to better compete on a worldwide basis as business environment shifted rapidly.  The project concluded with record financial performance and no customer satisfaction issues during the change effort.
